18.3.2016 Football League Winners

Well done to the A and B Teams who won their leagues. The B Team won 2-1 against Blackpool and the A Team beat Bradley Barton in an extremely tight game that was eventually decided on penalties. Both games were great to watch and all four teams competed admirably. Well done Rydon!!

26.02.2016 Year 5/6 Gymnastics

Rydon had three teams who qualified for the School Sports Partnership Finals. It was a tough competition and all three teams performed admirably. Once all teams had performed the routine, Rydon was announced as the winner. Well done Rydon gymnasts.

11.3.2016 Netball News

It has been a very busy term, trying to fit in as many fixtures as possible around the weather!

Yr 3/4 were very successful at the partnership tournament, having never played before they managed to win 2 games, draw 2 and lost just 2.  An exciting future ahead.

Yr5/6 A team have played 2 fixtures so far and have shown their growth and team work by securing 3 victories so far beating Decoy, Bovey Tracey and Kingskerswell. More games are to be played before the end of term to determine their final league position.

Well done Netballers!!!

9.3.2016 Rydon v Christow Football Challenge

Last week we played two matches with our friends from Christow Primary School. It was the first time that we had organised an inter school match for children in Years One and Two and they put on a great performance for a large crowd of spectators winning the match 5-0. The key Stage Two match was a tight affair with the match ending in a 1-1 draw. Both matches were played in a great spirit. At the end of the matches, Rydon were awarded the TAST Champions trophy with the children from Christow going back with the TAST Challenger Trophy.

7.3.2016 Year 4 Football

Well done to the Year 4 Football Team who finished as runners-up in the Year 3/4 tournament. The event was run over two days and Rydon played some amazing games. The team managed to lose only one game and drew two, with the rest being victories. They narrowly missed out on top spot by two points! However, they should be incredibly proud of their achievements as they represented Rydon admirably. Well done!
