Netball Match v Bradley Barton 13.2.14

Just before half term, our netball A and B teams played against Bradley Barton. Our A team played extremely well and beat our opponents convincingly. This was a great change in fortunes after we lost to them narrowly in a cup competition last term! The B team also played very well and won too. Well done everybody for their great effort. Let's keep on improving!

Tri-Golf Club for children in KS1

This half term, 30 children from Y1 and 2 have enjoyed taking part in a tri-golf club after school led by golf professional Mike Cayless. 4 sessions were at school and 1 session was held at Dainton Golf club. These sessions followed after each class had tri-golf lessons during their PE time and the children  really liked using the super plastic clubs and balls which makes golf very accessible for younger children.  It was a great opportunity for all!

Mike Cayless, golf pro at Dainton Golf Club, led the sessions.

Here are a few children who attended the golf club!

Year 4 Cycling Club

Year 4 have been enjoying attending our bike club. With the expert help of Martin Burrows, from SUSTRANS, and Paul Fursdon, who leads our Bikeability courses, the children developed their cycling skills. They took part in races on the field, skills courses on the playground and even cycled up some of our steep off-road hills 'mountain bike' style. The children really enjoyed themselves!
