23.11.2015 Cricket Champions!!

Massive congratulations to the Year 5/6 Boys Cricket Team, who won the Sports Partnership Indoor Cricket Finals! Everyone played brilliantly, both with the bat and in the field. Rydon finished top of their group which set up a final clash with Canada Hill. It was a great game which saw Rydon emerge victorious! Well done!!

18.11.2015 Three Times the CHAMPS!!!!

A massive congratulations to the Year 5/6 Girls Cricket Team, who won the School Sports Partnership Indoor Finals for the third successive year! Mrs Clark was extremely impressed and said that all the girls were amazing. Well done!!

Year 6 Basketball

Year 6 were given the opportunity to attend a basketball session at Teign. All 60 pupils went and had a really good time learning new skills and developing existing ones. The children were then told about a basketball club that will be starting at Teign after October half-term.

Year 3 get a mighty visitor!

During their latest PE lesson on tag rugby, Year 3 were visited by a Plymouth Albion player who put them through their paces. The children had a wonderful time and really enjoyed learning from a professional rugby player.

Year 1/2 Gymnastics Club

Mrs Mason has once again started her Year 1/2 Gymnastics Club with great success. All the children are developing their fundamental skills and really enjoying the experience.

Tag Rugby Challenge vs Christow

This term saw the first of many challenges between Rydon and Christow. First on the cards was tag rugby. Mr Banwell constructed a team with the help of Becky Mason from the School Sports Partnership and those children selected competed against a well prepared team from Christow. The event was held at Christow and Rydon took great support with them. It was a fantastic, high scoring game which saw Christow emerge as worthy winners although Rydon played admirably. Everybody who took part had a great attitude and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

October - Year 3 Netball Festival

A group of Year 3 children were invited to attend a netball festival at Teign, which would see them developing their netball skills. It was a great session with all the children enjoying the experience.
